Christchurch Airport reveals plans for new airport near Wanaka

Christchurch Airport says it has bought 750ha of land near Tarras in Central Otago with a view to building a “world-class sustainable airport”.
The area is close to the growing resort town of Wanaka.
Chief executive Malcolm Johns said the company had spent $45 million on the project so
